Rest Ministries is a Christian organization that serves those who live with chronic illness or pain. It was founded in 1997 by Lisa Copen who was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 24 and could not find Christian support and resources for her illness journey. In 2002 she began National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week as an annual outreach of Rest Ministries to bring hope to the 133 million that live with illness in the USA.

HopeKeepers Magazine is a publication of Rest Ministries. It originally was a 64-page digest-size magazine, but due to publishing costs it is now a digital magazine that can be printed out. Click the image above to read a sample excerpt.

The content of the Headache and Migraine News Blog is produced by James Cottrill, a husband and father originally from Ontario, Canada.  Growing up, he knew that he sometimes felt “sick”, but didn’t understand that he had migraine until he was diagnosed as a young teenager. He started researching migraine and headache and treatments many years ago.  He began pouring his work into this site in 2003, hoping what he learned could help others as well.

Dr. William July shares, “Our story captures the devastation and pain chronic illness exacts on the patient and the care-giving spouse. We lost everything but each other. We were torn from our dreams and thrust headlong into a fight for our lives with an illness that wrecked our plans, our finances, and ultimately became a battle for our souls. But we have learned how, not only to survive, but  to have a life beyond illness. Our website, audio clips, books, DVD, and CDs reveal how you and your spouse (and significant others) can turn things around so you can start living again, despite the illness.”
